Using language to convey meaning orally

G8 Umweltgipfel Völkerverständigung
G 8 World Summit on Sustainable Development in Syrakus, April 2009

Interpreting requires a great degree of flexibility and spontaneity, to ensure that the meaning is conveyed correctly but not literally. Logical thinking is thus less important than it might appear. When switching quickly from one language to another, stress resistance is the primary criterion.

As a consecutive interpreter, I accompany delegations on State visits, investors both within Germany and abroad, to seminars, trade fairs and events (film industry, training, development aid, environmental conferences, etc.).

As for simultaneous interpreting (working with broadcasting equipment) I liase with my network of highly qualified colleagues located throughout Germany and fluent in many European languages.
